Getting there
Gion is a geisha quarter with an air of gorgeous brilliance, history and culture.
Yoin Hotel stands in the middle of this atmospheric area dotted
with ochaya (tea houses used for entertainment by geisha) and small restaurants and where geiko (young geisha) and maiko (apprentice geisha) come and go.
In addition to allowing guests to easily enjoy the early evening hours of Gion,
it’s fairly close to attractions such as the Kamo River and Kiyomizu-dera Temple and can serve as a great base of operations for a trip to fully enjoy Kyoto in any of the four seasons.
