A base of operations for a trip immersed in the pleasures of Kyoto in any of the four seasons
Gion is a geisha quarter with an air of gorgeous brilliance, history and culture.
Yoin Hotel stands in the middle of this atmospheric area dotted with ochaya (tea houses used for entertainment by geisha) and small restaurants and where geiko (young geisha) and maiko (apprentice geisha) come and go.
In addition to allowing you to easily enjoy the early evening hours of Gion,
it’s fairly close to attractions such as the Kamo River and Kiyomizu-dera Temple and can serve as a great base of operations for a trip to fully enjoy Kyoto during any of the four seasons.

When you step into the lobby, you are met with a calm quiet that is a refuge from the hustle and bustle of Gion. Just for people staying at the hotel, we have an open bar at the front desk-cum-bar counter, from the time of check-in until 10 p.m. (Certain drinks are not free.)
